The book by historian and novelist Larry Collins<\/strong>, “Fortitude”<\/strong> is one of the main documents validating the thesis of the sacrificed convoy. According to the author, the British secret services knowingly gave the position of the convoy to a pack of German submarines that were on a mission off the Canaries. Collins does not hesitate to have the heroes of his novel state this thesis. According to Collins, the false trail of the SL-125 was just one of the many \u00ab\u00a0bluffing\u00a0\u00bb operations carried out as part of Fortitude<\/strong>, the collective code name for Allied disinformation and intoxication operations designed to hide the real landing sites. Disinformation is at the heart of the SL 125 story! But what were Larry Collins’ sources? In 2013, Dominique Lapierre, his old friend who has now passed away, told us that Collins never invented anything and that all his works were based on proven facts of which he had proof. Unfortunately, when Collins died, his archives were scattered in the United States and his descendants do not know where they are.<\/p>\n\n\n
